Pitch

Submit a game

One form, read by a person, answered in writing within 10 working days — including when the answer is no. Submitting is not exclusive and creates no obligation on either side.

  • Reply in 10 working days
  • No fee, ever
  • You keep your IP
  • Have your deck, build and trailer links ready — links are far more useful to us than attachments.
  • If a build link needs a password or a key, put it in the description.
  • Check the exclusion list first. It saves us both a submission.
  • Nothing here is attached to your project's rights: read the unsolicited submission policy.

Including contractors, if any.

About the project

A working title is fine.

Target platforms*

Pick everything you are aiming at, even if it is undecided.

What do you want from a publisher?

What it is, who it is for, what makes it worth someone's evening, and where it stands today. If a build link needs a password or a key, include it here. Minimum 120 characters; 400 or more counts toward the completeness meter.

Links

All optional — but a build we can run tells us more in ten minutes than a deck tells us in an hour.

Before you send

What that last box is, and is not. It records that you have read our Article 13 notice. It is not consent as a legal basis: we handle a pitch on the basis of Article 6(1)(b) (steps before a possible contract) and Article 6(1)(f) (our legitimate interest in assessing submissions). Ticking it does not give up any right, and you can ask us to delete the submission at any time.

Fields marked * are required. We store what you send outside the public website, keep it for 24 months and then delete it.

0 / 100

  • Playable build we can run +22
  • Trailer or gameplay video +16
  • Pitch deck or design document +14
  • Project described in depth (400+ characters) +12
  • Development at prototype stage or beyond +12
  • Target platforms identified +8
  • Store or wishlist page already live +8
  • Team size stated +4
  • Target release window stated +4

This measures how complete your submission is, nothing more. It does not score your game, it does not predict our answer, and it produces no funding figure. The weights are fixed and add up to 100.

The meter needs JavaScript to update live. With scripting off, the form works exactly the same and we compute the same number on our side.

Questions

Before you send it

How long until I hear back?

Within 10 working days of the submission, in writing, including when the answer is no. If 10 working days pass with nothing from us, email help@cmbproject.com and quote your reference — something went wrong on our side.

Do I need a playable build?

No, but it is the single most useful thing you can send. A build we can run tells us more in ten minutes than a deck tells us in an hour, which is why it carries the most weight in the completeness meter on this page.

Do I keep my IP?

Yes, unless a different arrangement is separately negotiated and written into the agreement. A standard publishing agreement with us leaves the intellectual property with the studio that made the game.

Is submitting a pitch exclusive?

No. Sending us a project does not stop you talking to anyone else, and it creates no obligation on either side. Nothing becomes exclusive unless and until a signed agreement says so.

What happens to my submission if you pass?

It is kept for 24 months so we can recognise a resubmission and pick the conversation back up, then deleted. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time — see the Privacy Policy.

Will you sign an NDA before I send anything?

Not before a first read — we receive more pitches than we can paper individually, and the unsolicited submission policy in our Terms of Service explains exactly how an unsigned submission is handled. Once a project is in active discussion, an NDA is normal and we will sign one.
